OBJECTIVE:
The Human Resources Manager leads all HR functions, ensuring policies, recruitment, employee relations, and compliance are in line with the company’s goals and legal requirements. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills, committed to fostering a positive workplace and aligning HR practices with business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Recruitment and Staffing
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
- Manage end-to-end hiring processes, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with managers to forecast hiring needs and align recruitment efforts with business growth.
2. Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary contact for employee concerns, grievances, and inquiries.
- Mediate workplace disputes and guide managers through disciplinary processes.
- Champion a positive, inclusive work culture and employee engagement initiatives.
3. Performance Management
- Oversee performance review processes and support managers in employee development.
- Implement learning and development programs to upskill the workforce.
- Create and track performance improvement plans to enhance productivity.
4. Compensation and Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefits (health insurance, retirement, etc.) and handle compensation reviews.
- Ensure the company's compensation practices are competitive and comply with legal standards.
- Support collective bargaining and interpret labor agreements when needed.
5. Compliance and Policy Management
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws. Consult with legal counsel on complex employment matters to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate employee records and manage workplace safety and insurance claims.
6. HR Metrics and Reporting
- Analyze key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement) and provide data-driven insights to leadership.
- Prepare and present HR reports to senior management to inform business decisions.
7. Organizational Development and Change Management
- Support organizational changes and lead HR-driven initiatives to drive business growth.
- Advise leadership on policies related to diversity, equal opportunity, and workplace harassment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (preferred).
- Professional HR certification (PHR/SHRM) is highly desirable.
- 3-5 years of HR experience in a similar role; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
SKILLS:
- Deep knowledge of HR laws and best practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information and manage sensitive situations tactfully.
- Expertise in conflict resolution and fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite, with experience using applications such as Paycor, Vizio, and WageWorks.
