Tampa Bay, FL –The death of George Floyd under the knee of a Minneapolis police officer launched a national dialogue about race in America. With more than 60 years’ experience as the convener of tough conversations and community impact, WEDU PBS will host an honest conversation about race in our region with a one-hour virtual town hall. Can We Talk? A Community Conversation About Race will premiere on Friday, July 24 at 9:00 p.m.
Hosted by Dalia Colon, Rob Lorei and Ernest Hooper, the one-hour virtual town hall explores topics from the Black Lives Matter movement to public health, white allyship to social reform. Community members open up, debate, and share perspectives on the issues that often divide us. The special WEDU original program creates opportunities to listen to each other, understand each other and learn ways to make meaningful change in our community.
