Brittany Rivers is a licensed mental health counselor based in Gainesville, Florida who offers mental health therapy, spiritual direction and nature-based therapy.

 

Coral Restoration Foundation

The Coral Restoration Foundation is actively restoring coral reefs on a massive scale, educating others on the importance of our oceans, and using science to further coral research and coral reef monitoring techniques. 

Dr. Erika Diaz Almeyda

Dr. Erika Diaz Almeyda uses research in her lab to investigate how climate change and rising sea temperatures affect marine symbiosis, and how anthropogenic stressors impact coastal microbial diversity. 
 

Dr. Hillary Van Dyke

Since 2016, she has been involved in work to get Black people more involved in the outdoors. Currently, she is doing that work through Get Black Outside and her LLC, Invincible Summer Enterprises.
 

Florida Institute of Oceanography, Keys Marine Lab 

A full-service marine field station situated in the heart of the Florida Keys island chain at mile marker 68.5. The facility offers a unique opportunity for college level education and researchers studying the only tropical marine ecosystems in the continental United States.

Get Black Outside (GBO) is a global platform designed to acknowledge, support, and unite black-led grassroots organizations and facilitators that bring outdoor programming to black audiences.
